President Muhammadu Buhari has praised the efforts of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for the largest drug seizure in the history of Nigeria. The president also stated that he has a deep appreciation for the work that Buba Marwa has done in the fight against the distribution of cocaine in Nigeria.
After speaking on the phone with the Chairman of the NDLEA, retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa from New York, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President' s Spokesman, issued the statement on behalf of President Buhari.
At this very moment, President Buhari may be found in New York City, participating in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 77).

" You have proven over and over again that picking you to lead this fight against the merchants of death whose only goal is to jeopardize and cut short the future of our young is a very excellent option. You have shown that you are more than capable of taking on this challenge. "

At a meeting later on with members of his team, Adesina relayed what the Nigerian leader had said, quoting him as stating, " Buba Marwa is doing well. " Two tons of cocaine, that' s quite the haul.
What You Need To Be Aware Of;
The Nigerian National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) made an announcement regarding the greatest seizure of cocaine in Nigerian history, which was valued at N193 billion ($278, 205, 000).
Mr. Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy for the NDLEA, made this information public in a statement that was released on Monday in Abuja. He also mentioned that there was one Jamaican and four Nigerians who were taken into custody during the operation.
The NDLEA has said that all of people who were apprehended are part of an international narcotics conspiracy, which it has been investigating since 2018.
